Pop In My Country Music

Have you ever think about the origins and history of the country music…? If no, then have a look at it!! Country music is actually started from south in the earlier 1920s. It is a blend of Folk, Celtic, and Traditional music. Mingle of diverse sounds made country music very much appealing to all types of people; young, old, teens and there were many legendary singers who had made their debuts and become popularized all over the world. The fame of these singers is not only due to their great voice but it shows their passion and love towards the country.

Country music is of numerous types and genres listened for so many years. Every person would like to listen according to his or her taste and sense of music. So, which genre do you like to listen out…? Country pop is possibly the most listened music since it has been started. Country pop music is blend of country hip hop with a little touch of traditional music. Artists like Taylor Swift and Jessica Simpson are the most admired country singers in today’s music era. Pop country artists are classified according to, if their songs cross over and make it on to the country music top 40 list. Such genre has started for the first time in 1960s in Nashville.

During 1940s, there is band, named as Bluegrass which has paved their path in the music industry and gained much popularity that time. Basically it is fusion of jazz, country, and traditional music. The instruments used in this genre are guitars, drums, fiddle, bass, harmonium, and vocals.
Rockabilly music became popular in 1950s. It is also called as hillbilly music. Rockabilly is basically a blend of Honky tonk, swing, country, and rhythm. Guitars, double bass, drums, and piano are the instruments used in rockabilly music. And actually these sounds make rockabilly music unique from all and liked by most of the audience. Elvis Parsley was a celebrity icon which makes this music popular and was given the name as ‘Hillbilly Cat’. Buddy Holly is another well known celebrity which comes to mind when talk about rockabilly music.

Other types of country music which are out of the main stream are called as alternative country. Music which is considered to be not very popular according to the main stream standards and which was not played on the country music top 40 list is called as alternative country music. This term was used for the very first time in 1990s.

Every country music has different genres according to the taste and culture of people living in those countries. People like music which they think create a feel of comfort and relaxation. People of different age group like different music. Some like soft and light tone, some would prefer rock music, and some might be interested in hp hop music. So, it depends upon the nature and sometimes on the moods of the individuals that what genre they want to listen on a particular time.
